There is hope to build a dam under the kothmale scheme.
It will be about 285 feet high. This will be built across the kothmale stream. The size of this reservoir will be about 174 million cubic meters. The water of the kothmale stream is to be managed at this dam. Next this water taken through a 7.2 K.meter long tunnel to the power house will flow again to the mahaweli at atabage. | |
